The basics
Purpetrator was a 1998 Ford Ranger XLT.  It was 2 wheel-drive and had the 2.5L engine with automatic transmission.  The exterior color was Boysenberry Pearl Clearcoat and the interior was grey.  Ford only offered the Boysenberry Pearl color in 1998 for a limited number of Rangers.  It was purple with blue metallic.

The History of the truck
July 29, 2000 - Purchased used.
When purchased, had 29,000 miles on it. Previous owner had installed GTS ventvisors, Lund sunvisor, GTS slotted taillight covers, Optimus 6-disc cd changer, American Racing AR-39 rims with BFGoodrich 245/60/15 Radial T/As, chrome Ford oval stickers in rear windows, dual exhaust with chrome tips and chrome tubular side steps.

September 27, 2000 - Neighbor backed into rear passenger-side fender.
Brother repaired large dent and scrapes and repainted section of fender.

August, 2001 - Painted interior pieces.
Pieces painted using Dupli-color Mirage purple-to-green paint. Pieces painted included door panels, console, radio bezel, defroster vents and instrument cluster.

September 3, 2001 - Installed gutter guard grille inserts.

November 4, 2001 - Painted sill plates.
Painted raised sections of sill plates with chrome spray paint and background with Dupli-color Mirage paint.

January 19, 2002 - Painted Ford ovals.
Blue Ford ovals in grille and on tailgate painted purple to match body color.

January 25, 2002 - Installed new radio.
Removed factory radio/cassette player and non-working cd changer and installed new Pioneer Premier DEH-P730 cd player.

February 24, 2002 - Air box mod.
Removed plastic baffle from air box and plastic piece from behind passenger side headlight to allow more air to enter airbox.

March 25, 2002 - Removed Chrome Nerf Bars

March 28, 2002 - Added gutter guard insert to front bumper/valance.

June 29, 2002 - Installed purple pedal covers.

August 2, 2002 - Removed factory pinstripe.

April, 2003 - Installed clear corner lights, euro taillights, purple wire loom and braided hose with purple fittings in engine.

May 3, 2003 - Installed LeBra tonneau cover

May, 2003 - Custom tweed interior work has begun. So far, tweed inserts on the doors and custom flamed tweed headliner.

May 30, 2003 - Had tires put on new stock chrome Ford rims.

Future of the Truck
This truck had some major things planned for it.  Unfortunately, thanks to a drunk driver, it will live out the rest of its time rusting away in some junkyard.  It's memory will live on however in a 2005 Ford Ranger.
